Regular physical expression through exercise is very important for persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Current research shows that people who exercise on a regular basis develop Alzheimer’s later in life and regular exercise can potentially slow the disease process. Our exercise programs are simple, low impact and entertaining.
We provide experiences that celebrate the joy and pleasure that can come from food. Food not only provides nutrition and hydration but also a time for socialization and an opportunity to reminisce about favorite foods and recipes.
We all have a certain degree of creativity and that is a quality of life to be celebrated. Current research shows that persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia often experience a spike in creativity. We want to celebrate that and encourage imagination involving artistic expression, poetry and music.
